Before I grab a Mirror or EX Ultra I have a question. In RAID 1 mode each disk has a full backup of all files/folders. So I a grab a 3rd drive and each month swap it with one of the live drives, will that work? I want to store the backup drive off site.
Yes it should work. You just need to rebuild the RAID with auto or manual rebuild:
