The NTP time update service doesn’t show the correct time on my system. Even after adding a another custom ntp server, 0.europe.pool.ntp.org, the time is still two hours off (GMT +01:00 Madrid).
Reset the NAS and verify if it does the same thing… More info on how to reset in the following link:

This may sound like a dumb question, but are you sure you have the timezone set correctly? NTP does NOT carry time offset information; it only determines UTC time.
My MBL has the correct time:
MYBOOKLIVE:~# date
Tue Jan 25 07:29:12 CST 2011
Mine ntp server works fine with MBL. time is correct.
So I suggest you just try different ntp server.

I got it working after two reboots, so I don’t really know what happened, maybe it has something to do with a power cut we had in our area this morning.
Power cuts SUX bigtime… please buy at least basic UPS to protect your hardware.
