Not working = http://wdmyclouddl4100/

All I get whilst trying to access the dashboard is a 403 Forbidden error message and a white screen with this message:-

Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access / on this server.

Tried a reset and I have messaged WD Support, so thought I would post here too just in case anyone has a simple solution whilst I await a reply from WD.

Have you tried this?
http://wdmycloud/
Or this
http://wdmycloud.local/

Have you tried to use the setup software again? Or shutting it down using the close button on the front and then restarting it?

Sounds like you’re trying to access it from a network other than the one it is installed on?

@master3395 Yes, I have and no, they don’t work.

@TonyPh12345 No, I am sat right next to it.

@Jorn_Johanesson Setup software? I don’t remember that. I have also tried a power cycle.

Sorry I forgot there is no setupsoft but only a pdf file. Then on the back there is a reset hole. manual says it set some of the configurations to new.

@Jorn_Johanesson Yes, I used the ‘reset hole’ to perform the reset.

Then if you cannot log on to the dashboard I am out of Ideas.

… Sure, but are you and your DL on the same IP network? … is there a router between you and it?
Is your IP space “public,” or “private?”

On the dl4100 LCD it should show the ip Address As long as that address does not start with 169 type that address in your browser instead of wdmycloudl4100

If that does not work find out what the ip4 of your computer is.

as long as the first 3 groups of numbers are the same you should be fine. The last numbers should be different.

If the numbers are good and you still get an error using the IP of the NAS in your browser I would reset the dl. Power off by holding in the power button. Then using a good tool like a small torx screwdriver or an allen wrench hold in the reset button for 20 seconds while you press the power button once firmly to power on. Wait until you have an IP on the lcd and see what happens now.

All on the same network and all was working perfectly until sometime within the past few weeks. Nothing is any different, nothing has been changed.

What does a 20-second reset do? I have already performed a 4-second reset and read up on the 40-second reset but I have not seen anything regarding a 20-second reset.

20 and 40 would be the same. I did not look it up. Hold it for 40 then

there is not a20sec reset listed in wd help only 4 sec and 40 sec
