Not Recognizing...after performing well for about 50 days

When connected to the PC / Laptop its taking atleast 20 minutes to recognize (autoplay screen with all folders playing there is appearing meanwhile). After being recognized its not responding and a small beep sound is coming. I click on a folder in the drive again the PC / Laptop will not respond. And this continues. I guess this needs to be replaced. Please reply if i can show it to any of the nearest dealer or send it to WD office.
