NOT in Device Manager

Hi, 

My external hard drive, “My Book Essential” was working just fine, however I wanted to use it like a regular drive and no longer with the Smartware software, I did nothing but uninstall the software and now the Hard Drive doen not show up in Disk Management nor Device Manager and so I can’t do anything with it. Any help?

Uninstalling Smartware should not have any effect on the performance of the drive.

Try testing with a different computer or different cable.
