Not connecting to MyCloud after Catalina upgrade

I’ve had a number of issues with my MyCloud when my laptop was running mac OS Mojave, but now that I’ve been forcefully upgraded to Catalina it frequently disconnects and cannot reconnect unless I go into my browser and reboot the drive.

I see a number of articles from Oct 2019 suggesting that NAS and Catalina have some issues, but it’s been really hard to sift through and find these supposed “fixes”.

Is there a quick link to a fix for this issue?

I have given some thought to upgrading to a newer drive, but considering the problems with MyCloud that have only gotten worse, I’m not sure if I want to spend more money on another WD drive that may not actually work with mac OS.
