I’ve had a G Drive 4TB for a year now, I’ve been using it to store videos and since yesterday, when I connect it, I see a window with a formatting option, so I don’t have access to its content anymore, with CrystalDiskInfo, it looks good, I just plugged it into another computer and the same message appears, I’m using Windows10. Thank you for your help.
The partition on the drive likely has been corrupted if it is asking you to format the drive. You can try using data recovery software on it to attempt restoring data. In order to use the drive again you will have to format it however. This will of course remove the data.
Thank you for your answer, in fact the disk has switched to RAW format for a reason I don’t understand, I will use TestDisk to retrieve what is possible.
