Not able to see Recycle Bin of My Cloud EX2 Ultra

NAS:

  • My Cloud EX2 Ultra
  • Firmware: 5.05.111

PC

  • Windows 10 Pro
  • Version 10.0.19041 Build 19041.630

Problem:

  • I was previously able to connect to \mycloud\Recycle Bin - Volume_1
  • My drive filled up, I disabled recycle bin while I cleaned it up, then re-enabled recycle bin.
  • I am now unable to see or navigate to \mycloud\Recycle Bin - Volume_1 like I could previously.

Behaviors:

  • When I go to \mycloud in Windows Explorer, I can see all my shares except Recycle Bin.
  • I can connect to, and map drives to, all my shares.
  • Those mappings correctly persist across reboots.

Steps taken so far:

  • I updated MyCloud firmware. Problem remains.
  • I have rebooted PC and rebooted MyCloud. Problem remains.
  • I have toggled Recycle bin off/on. Problem remains.
  • I unmapped, rebooted, remapped all shares
  • I am using the “admin” account, and copy-paste the same password in browser (when working with MyCloud config) and for all drive mappings. admin/pwd work fine for all.

Any help is appreciated.

@jdap sounds like the drive filling to capacity may have corrupted something. Have you performed a System Only Restore already? Is that doesn’t resolve the issue, collect your system logs and contact support.
