Not able to connect to My cloud using the disk name

I have given some name to My cloud disk. Yet I am not able to connect to the device except through the IP address.

You did not describe your network environments.

Ensure NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on your network adapter status. Else force it to be enabled. Google “how to enable netbios over tcp/ip”.

In fact I have a Huawei HG8245 router and the mycloud is connected by lan cable of course. I am connecting on wifi.

The strange thing is that I was not suffering from this problem till few days ago. I used to type the mycloud name in the browser address bar and it launched the cloud dashboard. Now I have to use the ip,address otherwise it does not launch!!!

Thanks for the netbios advice. In fact I have win8.1. I enabled netbios over tcp/ip but also did not help!
