Hello,

I have moved my 1T book essential product frpm my old PC running WIN XP to my new computer running WIN 7.

Since there was a problem recognizing the hardware, I have reconnected it to my old PC and got this messege.

I have over 800Mb of very important data stored on this drive,

Try the following article to make sure the drive is recognized by the computer.

WD external drive is not assigned a drive letter by Windows or Mac OSX and data on the drive is inaccessible
