Some users report that their PCs do not receive Windows 10 updates after cloning an old C: drive to an SSD. The thought is that the hardware inventory is changed when the cloned drive becomes the new C: drive so Microsoft rejects the PC as a valid Win 10 PC.

sounds like a microsoft issue. the ssd cant control windows updates. you should probably contact microsoft support.
