No sync between audio and video

Hello,

I have just acquired a WD TV Live box.

I have converted some old DVDs into avi files on my computer.  When I play those files on the computer, it is all fine.  Video and audio are in sync.  However, when I stream it onto my TV, I lose sync between audio and video.  I have also noticed this occurs for an MKV file that I downloaded.

Is their any way to bring the audio and video back into sync?

if you are playing it from a reciever then check to see if your reciever has the ability to delay audio, is it all files or certain files? also if its an mkv you can try to use tsmuxer and demux and then use mkvmerge to remux and sometimes that couild help with audio/video sync issues.
