No surround sound when playing anything from Netflix?

Does anyone have surround sound on Netflix?

Another problem is when playing an .avi I have to change the sound in the settings to/from “digital audio”, "HDMI with digital audio. I have no problem on my Patriot.

Its difficult to tell since I do not know how you are connected, but I believe “digital audio” is only audio passthrough over HDMI, where “HDMI with digitial audio” is audio out over the optical. It could just be how you are connected, say if your HDMI goes to your TV but optical goes to receiver. If this is the case, then leaving it as “with digitial audio” all the time should give the same quality signal as audio over HDMI.
