"No storage present" problem

I just bought the WD TV and when I try connecting it with my Transcend StoreJet 320GB I get the “No storage present” message. The USB HDD is NTFS formatted. Can any one help me with this problem?

this happens to me sometimes - this is what i do to fix it:

  • connect the storage device before the wdtv is turned on
  • move the usb cable around (sort of like moving a tv antenna around) move it until you see that it recognizes the device
  • try another usb cable
