I’ve had a MyCloud EX2 Ultra for years. I’ve also accessed it regularly with the IOS app with no issues…until the last 4-5 months. About every 20-30 days I’ll fire up the app on my iPhone and it will tell me there are no shares created. I know that’s wrong because I can go to any Windows PC on my network and see the shares. I can pull up the admin page for the NAS and see the shares. The only fix is to reboot the NAS and then it does a re-index again, which can take a while. Only then can I see the files again from my iPhone. I never lose connectivity with Windows machine on the network. I’ve not tried a Windows device remotely from the web login when the IOS app won’t let me in. Not sure what that will show.
Am I alone with this? I couldn’t find any other posts about this issue. My NAS is indexing yet again right now after another reboot. I don’t care that much if I’m home. But if I’m at work or traveling and I can’t get back to the files I need, that’s a problem.
