No permission

Hello,

I mapped a share as a network drive to my PC and used the correct admin credentials. I set correct Write/Read Permissions in the Share Dashboard.

If I try to delete something, it won’t let me.

“You require permission from Unix User\ root to make changes to this file”.

In the Logs it says:

“2016 Feb 11 06:35:16
SAMBA
CIFS: Authentication for user [nobody] has FAILED.”

I am using Windows 10 Pro 64bit. NAS Firmware 2.11.133.

If I disconnect the network map drive and remap it the Logs say:

“2016 Feb 11 10:04:24
SAMBA
CIFS: [ipv4:192.168.178.62:60743] connected to [Test] as user [nobody].
2016 Feb 11 10:04:23
SAMBA
CIFS: [ipv4:192.168.178.62:60743] connected to [Test] as user [admin].”

So I am admin for 1 second, then nobody.

Perhaps it would be best to contact WD Support about this. You can do so over the phone or via E-mail.
