No osd showing firmware update

Once  I turn on the system and attempt to roll back firmware from2.08.13 to 2.04.13 I cannot get the dash to show firmware  every thing else is showing but that 

I can go to check for update but that will not let me roll back from USB 

do I have to disconnect the Ethernet cable from the back of the hub or is their a problem with the hub

No, you’re probably not using the correct firmware.

thanks i did a system restor and then it went back so i could install the firmware i wanted
