I upgraded to the latest firmware with a WD TV live 1.12.14.
All is working fine (as far as I can tell) except that with Netflix I am not getting audio via the Digital Audio optical pass-through (but am getting audio via HDMI). i tried rolling back to previos firmware with no luck. Spdif does work with audio/video streaming over network
Any known issues with this?

Was it working with the previews firmware?
Try resetting the media player or doing a factory restore to see if there is any setting affecting you.
