No media in current folder

Hello,

Have  WD Live Hub…All movies are on the PC HHD and stream over via the HUB…All was working great.

I was running out HHD space so I installed a new 2TB HHD. I have place the movie folder and set it as a shared folder

However i cant seem to see the shared folder where all my movies are.  I keep getting  msg  NO MEDIA IN CURRENT FOLDER…please help…Thanks

I presume there is at least one video file in the folder, otherwise you won’t see a thing.

Check out this link of mine and see if it helps.  I wrote it up about music files, but it pertains to any media, including videos and photos.

Thanks for the quick response…Now i am having trouble with Invalid username or Password msg…

Getting invalid login with the anonymous and blank password…What the HUB want for login?

Please help…Been at this all night…

Be sure all PCs and WD are in the same workgroup.  For most of us the default is WORKGROUP, but check and see for sure.

Password issue:  If you are using Win 7, set up Win 7 advanced sharing to turn off password protected sharing, and set up WDTV settings to do an auto log-on for shares.  End of password problem issues for Network shares.  Media servers is unaffected by passwords.  If you are using XP, I think you still need to set up the WD for auto log on.  Can’t remember.  All I know is I have no password requests/issues after I di  these steps.  I just click on the WD Network shares menu and I am in there.

I find passwords useless for the home network unless one is trying to keep the kids out of the porn folders!
