No media file on my NAS Synology

Hello,

Since last update, my folders on my DS411 NAS are empty. (Configured as media server ).

When I open them, I get a brief message saying there are no media files !!!

Opening via Windows shares still works.

I resetted the connection, the system …

 But nothing works …

Looks like a bug of the last firmware :confounded:

Regards

Hi there and welcome to the WD community.

Try to do a rollback on the firmware to see if by going to the previous version you can see the files.

Here is a link that will help you with the rollback process:

I downgraded.

But still no files to display :flushed:

p.s. My PS3 still shows everything. ( as usual )

Why have you configured the source as media server? If you configure using “WIndows Share” or media library (should you have set it up) then it should work.

To use the “media server” option, on the synology you will need to have setup a upnp media server (such as twonkymediaserver).

Got it

Not WD’s fault.

For some reason, the player was blocked in my Sonology’s UPnP/DLNA devices authorized list.
