Can anyone tell me if they have encountered this problem?
Attempting to access the Sharespace with a simple FTP client I get connected and logged in but no directory is passed to the client from the Sharepace. The same happens when using a browser (FTP User name@xxx.xxx.xxx.xx) where the x’s represent the WAN address.
Help please.

I haven’t seen this problem before, but hope I can help. I do have some questions that might help to figure this out.
What firmware version are you running on the ShareSpace? What FTP client (and version) are you using? Are the shares public or private shares? What user are you giving in the FTP client?
FTP does use the same users and permissions as Samba, so if the user you’re using can’t see the shares through Samba, you won’t see them through FTP.
Try to configure your FTP client to run in so-called “Passive mode”.
