No dashboard

I had to re-install software to be able to get a connection with my MyBookLiveDuo 6 TB. The IP address the NAS got was not one lying in the range as set in mu N900 router. And I could not login to the dashboard, because using the IP-address gave "


You don’t have permission to access /UI on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

How can I solve this?

Furthermore: what is the standard user name and password after a hard reset?

Hello, try connecting the My Book directly to the PC to see if the same problem happens. The My Book doesn’t have a password by default. You can also try using the WDLink tool to access the dashboard, check the link below for the steps.

I managed to connect the MyBookLiveDuo directly to my laptop and could get into the dashboard. However, I cannot change the IP address there. The NAS gets an IP-address like and not Connected to the the NAS again, I couldn’t enter the dashboard.  I did a factory reset with the direct connection and after that I managed to get into dashboard via the network. The NAS got its IP address like and I could work with it again. However, it makes me afraid that I can loose data, because a factory reset means everything is lost.
