I’m currently using WDTV Live Plus with Offical Firmware.
I’ve tried using Allegro NFS and that worked excellent but its only a trial license then times out.
I’m trying to set up Services for UNIX on my Server 2003 box but I’m hitting a dead end regarding username mapping as i cannot telnet/SSH to my WDTV box to get the passwrd and group files because having official firmware I cannot telnet/SSH.
Is someone able to pass me the files if they are the same for all of WDTV boxes?
The Live+ (with official firmware) doesn’t support NFS.
So I don’t know how it would have been working with Allegro…

Live Plus does support NFS. You select Network Share and choose Linux instead of Windows.
Files i mean are the passwrd and group files
Then You do not have a Live Plus. You have the Live Streaming Media Player (2011 model) or the Live Hub. The Live PLUS (2010 model) DOES NOT support NFS.
