I just bought a refurbished drive and it only came with warranty up to 10/2013, what’s up with that???
Can I pay extra to get the 3 years?
Refurbs rarely have more warranty than that. I’ve seen quite a few pieces of equipment which only had 30 days.

Hi as far as I know they did have a 90 day warranty. The only way for you to get more warranty or a extended one would be when you bought it from NewEgg.
