When installed in my computer, there is an additional drive created with ‘No Media’, which seems to prevent proper access to the actual drive. I was able to use the Data Lifeguard utility to erase the disk, and then I could put a partition on it, but the ‘No Media’ drive still exists, and may cause me issues when I manage to get it plugged back into my PVR. Is there any way to get rid of the phantom drive?
could be some non standard partitioning etc
open disk management and check the disk number
open an elevated command prompt:
diskpart
select disk 2
clean
exit
