New Release - Firmware Version 2.08.13 for WD TV Live Hub (10/6/11)

WD is happy to announce our latest firmware update for the WD TV Live Hub Media Player.

Please post your experiences in this thread.

In the video library, when you “Get Content Info” from the internet, the live hub downloads the content for the movie and saves the .jpg file and the .xml file, but the .jpg file does not show in the movie listings.

I had painstakingly went through my whole movie collection and added the folder art for each file by pressing the get content option on each file. Everything was marked and working fine. I just ran the update (which I had to run twice for some reason as it looped from 2.08.13 to 2.08.13 again). After updating, all of the movie sheets are missing from the files themselves. The movie descriptions still remain as well as the background images that change, but the movie file itself doesn’t have the artwork like it used to. It is now just a generic icon that looks like a piece of film. Did anyone else loose their artwork after the update?

Nope… no issues here.   Upgraded once, and all my thumbs are still working…

My hub told me that there was a new firmware version 2.08.13 ready for download, so I let it do it.

It downloaded and installed the new firmware with success, but once it had restarted it prompted me again with a new firmware update available (updating from 2.08.13 to 2.08.13)??

After 5 updates I decided to ignore the firmware update which keeps on coming up every time I turn the hub on or switch to the main menu… What’s going on?

I’ve tried both restarting and resetting from the system menu and I even tried unplugging the hub completely, but nothing seems to help!

I dont understand what kind of people they employed for writing firmware and installer. Last 3 update over wireless I faced same issues. Quality of product is directly propotanal to the quality of people employed and the ability of delivery manager.

Looks like a bunch of loosers.

I actually just ran the update and it looped on me once. It is fine now but it did just happen to me too so its not fixed yet.

Didn’t loop for me.

It probably took a few mintues for WD’s WebCaches to populate the change Omy-Hundro made.
