New My Book Essentials 2TB: Quick Drive test failed / Complete Drive Test failed !?

Hello,

I just installed my new My Book Essentials and the software, updated the firmware and software and was just about to do my first backup but for kicks I went to Diagnostics and first ran the Quick SMART Status… was ok but then the Quick Drive Test failed and then the Complete Drive Test failed.

This can’t be right, I just un-boxed the ■■■■■■!

Suggestions???  I need to backup my data!

You may run an Extended Test using DLG.

the drive is no good
