New My Book - 18TB with password reset error

Today I tried to set up a newly purchased My Book - 18TB (I already have a few My Book drives). I set the password and I can’t access the drive because the password is incorrect. When I try to reset the password and format the drive in WD Discovery, an error pops up: “unknown error occurred with my book security settings”. The disk is clean so I don’t care about keeping the data. Any solution? Thanks in advance!

Since your drive is new, I suggest contacting WD Support directly. This website is WD’s “Community” site for others users like yourself to share issues and suggest solutions, but we are NOT Tech Support.
