HI WD Does the new Live hub firmware 2.07.17 which just came out fix the slow transcodinhg problem or do we have to wait for another new fw version as i did not see anything regarding transcoding or WD Photo in the changelog?

Yes, transcoding priority has increased in this release. Please try it - photo conversion should be faster.
