It’s part of the Mobile Access functions.  Linked to the WDPhotos iPod/iPhone/Android app.

So if i delete these files as i do not use my mobile in sync with the HUB it shouldn’t cause any problems?
No, it should not cause any problems.
Don’t be surprised, though, if they re-appear, though…

 my finger is twitchin on the delete button!
no doubt the folder will build up again but now at least i know what the sub-folder is for thanks 2 U.
