New HD - Is it really the black one?

Hi,

I just bought a WD 2TB Black FAE from a small computer store and they put it in an enclosure for me, but who know if they really put in the black one or the cheaper green HD.

Is there a way to find out? He told me not to open the enclosure as the drive might slide out.

Would the Serial # say something about the drive?

Ah, I just tried to register the serial number  on the WD site and they say it’s not a valid serial #.

I called the store where I bought it and the guy said to bring the HD next week and he’ll open it and get the serial #.

Huh, we’ll see what happens.
