THE NEW FIRMWARE 1.06.34B DOES NOT KEEP THE THUMBNAILS…EVERYTIME YOU SHUT THE DEVICE OFF YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALL OF YOUR FILES AND WAIT FOR THE THUMBNAILS TO RELOAD…I DOWNGRADED TO THE PREVIOUS FIRMWARE AND ITS BACK TO NORMAL AND ALL THE THUMBNAILS FOR MY FILES STAYED…I WOULDNT RECOMMEND UPGRADING FOLKS…

Thanks for the information, they might be working on a fix for that.
I’m finding this quite annoying as well and considering downgrading to the previous version. I can’t remember any WD firmware that worked flawlessly right “out of the box” they always broke something in the code and later released another version to fix what they broke!
What I most appreciate on the WDTV are thumbnails.
I upgraded to the new version 1.06.34_B.
In this version no longer the cache thumbnails.
What can I do to get back on the thumbnails cache?
I will return to the previous version, but not exist any tricks?
