New firmware for WDTV gen2, when?

When will the new firmware for the gen2. Or firmware is not planned? In the current firmware (1.01.77) has a lot of mistakes in the Russian-language interface, there are no Russian characters in the on-screen keyboard, etc.

While we’ve been told that new Gen2 firmware is on it’s way, I think we’ve been told that there will never be DVD menu support. Don’t get your hopes up.
