The new firmware broke my ability to watch any movies. Where can I get the older firmware to roll back to.
Download it from the official site together with full instructions. The files here have been especially modified for rollback.
That did the trick my WDTV now see’s all the drives on the network. What did they change in the new firmware that breaks it. Or maybe it is an enhancement.

Dunno… all my shares still work, as do the net shares of many other users.
Are you wired or wireless? If I recall, there was an issue with some wireless adapters in the newer firmware. I don’t have an issue with my wired setup.
My main unit sharing data is a WIN 2008 server. There are various other PC’s running XP and WIN7 around the wired network. I am usuing Extreme Network Summit 400 & 450 48 port Gig and switches. So that is not the issue.
Maybe they changed the way the browseing works.
I have the same problem. After upgrading to the latest firmware, my TV Live Plus no longer sees my PlayOn server running on Win7 SP1 x64. My DLNA-equipped Samsung TV sees the PlayOn server just fine. I don’t know if my TV Live Plus would see my 2TB MyBook Live, though, because it croaked 3mos out of the box the other day. Western Digital is shipping me a replacement as I write this.
