I just upgraded to the latest firmware made available today. I see nothing new except the user agreement. Comment here if it helps or hinders you…
Hmmm, looking at the changelog there seem to have changed nothing important.
Some bugs remain usolved for quite a while now.
Nonetheless, always nice to see an update.
Vertech1 - Small request…can you please post the output of ‘ps -ef’ using SSH on your upgraded EX2 so I can compare it with that of the previous firmware ( http://community.wd.com/t5/WD-My-Cloud-EX2/6-instances-of-the-process-Httpd-running/m-p/817431#M1703 ) and the one before that which I am still running. Thanks in advance.
So we have big problems with backups to external drives, but instead of a fix we get the new firmware with: “Updated device end user license agreement”
I can’t wait to install!
Thanks to WD!

Thank you very much, Vertech1. I have one question though…both in this listing and in the one you provided after the previous firmware release (in the earlier linked post), I noticed there is OpenVPN client running. It is not there in mine. Is that something you added yourself? If not, then obviously WD is now including it, which it wasn’t in earlier firmware versions.
Also, thanks for starting this thread to track issues related to this firmware update…good idea.
They must be including it, as I am not running anything custom at this time.
Have a good holiday!
Aah, ok…thanks for clarifying that. I think I will have to explore how I can put the openvpn to good use (if possible) when I upgrade my firmware eventually.
And you have a good holiday too, buddy!
