I just purchased a new 1.5 WD HDD (WD15EZRX) installed it and it isnot working. After it was installed I went into BIOS and it would not detect the new drive. I updated the Bios and still did not resolve the problem. I verified the SATA and PS cables are god. But nothing seems to solve the problem. I am currently runnig an Asus M3a78-em MOBO with an AMD 8650 processor, that currently has a 1TB HDD. I am not sure what to do next because I am not sure how to tell if the HDD is dead or faulty. So any advice will be of great help…Thanks
If it is not showing up in BIOS then 99% of chance is your drive is DOA
