New drive for HP computer

Hello

I have an old HP XP computer.  The internal drive is a 200 gig and is starting to produce errors.  I would like to upgrade to a 500 gig drive.  The current drive is a Seagate Baracuda model ST3200827AS eSATA drive.

What drive would be a good replacement?  I don’t need space for data storage which I do via external drives.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you, franky5

Before upgrading the drive make sure to check on the website for the laptop to see if the computer supports the desire capacity.

This drive is the best option I could think of:

Thank you for the reply and advice.  I’ll check it out.  From everything I’ve been told the computer should handle the larger drive.  I guess when I do it I’ll know for sure!!

Thanks again,
