New case for WD Elements Desktop

Folks

I have a 2TB Elements Desktop (WDBAAU0020HBK-01) with USB 2.0. If pull th drive out of its existing case and transfer it to a USB 3.0 case (eg Shintaro Blazer USB 3.0 3.5" SATA HDD Caddy ) or to a NAS case will the drive work OK. Drive is working fine at present, just slow :-).

Did you check the list of compatible or recommended hard drives for the USB 3.0 case or the NAS.

Thanks Alucardx23. Any idea where I can find out what drive is in the WD Elements Desktop? I’ve looked but haven’t been successful.

Aside from opening the case and looking I wouldn’t know, but that will void the warranty. :confounded:
