New Android WD Photo Locks Up

I installed the new version of WD Photos on my Nexus S with ICS 4.0.4.  The first time it started, it could not auto discover my My Book Live Duo, but adding the device using an activation code wasn’t a big deal.  It also uploaded the photos from my camera to the NAS.

Since then, almost everytime I start the app it locks up and Android asks if I want to close the unresponsive app.  After it is closed, it can be restarted and seems to work fine.  Auto uploading of new photos doesn’t work whenever the app locks up on starting.

Has anyone else had the locking up problem on Android? I upgraded to Jellybean 4.1.1, but that didn’t improve the app’s behaviour.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app

Also make sure the firmware in your NAS is up to date.

The NAS firmware is up to date, and I uninstalled and reinstalled the app a couple of times, with a phone reboot in between for good measure.

Next, I’'m thinking I’ll uninstall the app and also remove my phone from the remote access list.  Then, I’ll generate a new code, install the app, and activate the device.

If that doesn’t work, I guess I’m out of luck.
