I have DLNA server turned on for my Hub. In another room I have a WDTV Live Plus, and when i try to watch something on it from Videos → Media Servers → WDTVLiveHub, the video takes about a minute to load, has constant little pauses and eventually freezes. However, when I access the same videos through Videos → Network Shares → WDTVLiveHub, they play without any problem whatsoever – they load in about 5 seconds, I can fast forward and rewind, no freezes or pauses. Any ideas what this could be? I use a Linksys E3000 wireless router with QoS (Quality of Service) WMM Support enabled.
Hi there, the only thing that comes to my mind is latency. Try to hard-wire both the Plus and the Hub to the router and try to access the media server. If you don’t get the same issue then there’s a bottleneck that kills the wireless performance.
