Network samba mounts

Hi,

i have some server that include hidden samba shares. how can i access those shares on wd live. normaly i can access this from windows using network path [\server_ip\share_name](file://%5C%5Cserver_ip%5Cshare_name) but how can i do this from wd live. i do mounted those shares from ssh bu using simple mount command. i do see share files from ssh on /tmp/media/ etc. but, i have no idea how to access this from remote control. pls help

You can’t.

Supposedly, 3rd party firmware adds that, but I don’t know…

well, i do have some 3rd parity firmware (1.02.21_WDLXTV.COM_EXT3-BOOT_LIVE-0.4.3.1) but still don’t see any way to do this. Maybe You know  other firmwares who does that? i’am new to WD LIVE so i don’t know all of possibilities.

You’ll need to go to B-Rad’s forum for help on his firmware…  I can’t help ya with that.   I think you have to hand-edit a configuration file in the WDTV itself, but I only used his firmware for about 15 minutes before going back to WD’s code…
