Network path was not found - error

Hello,

I’m trying to connect my WDTV Live hub and when using the WD Discovery program I get this error message when trying to map the network drive:

“network path was not found” (showing the ip address of the device)

Using the Windows network function I can find the WDTV device in my network map, but can’t do anything with it.

Who can help me with this???

See if this tutorial for troubleshooting helps:

Thanks for your quick reply, but with step 1 in the command window there is a difference with what your saying.

My command window shows c:\Windows\system32>

If I type in ‘net view’ here, an error occurs:

system error 6118, the list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available

It’s really out of my league to solve that error, since I have know idea what I’m doing.

Do you by change know any other way (or easy way) to solve all this?

I’m working with vista by the way…

Have you succesfully setup network on the hub and remembered to set it to the same workgroup as your computer?

Yes, the hub says the network is succesfuly installed and the workgroup is also the same…

Try this…

Yes that’s it!

My AVG firewall was interfering.

Many many thanks!!!
