Network Link Down

Hi,

I just bought a My Book Live 2 TB a couple a days ago and I’m getting the following error

Network link down

The network link is down or has become intermittent. Please check your network connection.

I’ve checked the connection and everything seems to be fine. Rebooted both my modem and MY Book also. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

I have been seeing the same error on a daily basis… My network is fine.

This device is the biggest piece of junk it has ever been my misfortune to buy!!

I continued playing with it and figured out that the firmware needed to be updated. I thought it was already done but appearantly it didn’t install correctly. I also made sure all of my workgroups on the network were upodated to the same name (even though I have Windows 7) and I am not getting the error today. We’ll see if the fix or not.

But doesn’t your drive automatically check for fimrware updates?
