Network connection to istall themes?

Okay sorry for the noob question I have seen the threads on how to and how to troubleshoot. I cannot seem to figure out the way to do this so I can put in a new theme. I can connect via internet to connect to device but there is nothing there to see the so called root folder. I checked my connection and all is good and passed. I am on Windows 7 Ultimate and it shows up in my network devices (that’s how I saw the login over the net ordeal).

I used this thread to try to follow the directions. I have even tried entering the IP like I would to my modem and got nothing.

So I must be skipping a step somewhere just not sure where. My networking is setup on the hub as well.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Okay just a small update I was able to remotely see the anodized themes and a few others but I seem to not be able to install them manually?

So you cant see them listed when you go to here

Settings

              - Appearance

                                      - User Interface Themes

?

If not they wont be there, make sure they are not inside another folder

I was playing about today and noticed it gives you a screen, but no option to install, make sure all the files are just inside 1 folder. So…

.wdtv

         - theme

                      - Themename

                                               – Image Folder / Screenshot  / xml files etc…

I never installed or downloaded these themes they just showed up when I looked where you told me to look:

OSD

Anodized 3.24.5

Winter Mochi

Winter

Anodize

Legacy

I installed the 3.24.5 one last night just for gigles more less but I can’t seem to figure out how to install this one:

JoeySmyth’s Aeon ‘ish’ Home Screen + Gallery theme + list view fix **update**

I have it downloaded to my PC but I cannot figure out how to connect. The hub is showing up in my network on windows 7 ultimate.

you need to open up the WDTVLivehub on your netwrk connection just like clicking a hard drive ?

My computer

Network

WDTVLiveHub

and thats that, look for the .wdtv folder and stick the new theme in the themes folder.

And you must have put those themes there, it only comes with default Moochi.

When I do that I get the login to use the remote, change password etc… Nothing more. Strange it showed those from what you said. What I do in the network of windows showed devices is double click to open page.

Mmm dunno what you are doing there. I see it as if it was a hard drive.

Dont click on media devices, it should be listed under my computer under network.

You are clicking on the media server, rather than getting the Hubs hard drive.

I don’t see that. Here’s what I was trying to explain:

I cant see that, u need to post it to an Image upload site.

The site takes a while to clear it.
