Network access to LAN /24 but not /16

We configured our myCloudEX2Ultra with a 255.255.0.0 subnet. We are using it for LAN only and for Network Shares only. We can connect from and to devices on the /24 network of our gateway but not to devices on the broader, /16 network of our gateway. We have already tested with other devices and we know that the router is configured to allow this traffic. The problem is the myCloudEx2Ultra. Any ideas how to fix this?

Thank you. I had not opened a support case. I had assumed that was not available to me as my company purchased the unit but is not paying for support. I will now that you suggested it though.
