Netgear WNDA3100v2 adapter wireless connection with WD TV Live

I noticed a few people asking this question in other posts but no one ever seemed to get an answer. I have just bought a WD TV Live and a Netgear wireless adapter (WNDA3100v2). The adapter is on WD’s list of compatible devices but when I plug the adapter into the media player, there is no option to connect to a wireless network. I set up and connected the adapter to my router (Netgear WNDR3800) through my laptop and it works fine though my laptop. So I know the adapter actually works and is registered on my wireless network. However, when I plug it into the WD TV Live there is nothing (notice or connect of any wireless network). I am not sure what to do??? Can anyone help me solve this initial set up problem?

No, it’s not.

The WNDA3100 (versionless) is on the list, but not the v2.
