Thanks for your quick reply. Took your suggestion and asked Playon. This is their answer: “At this time the only way to get 5.1 audio from Netflix is to use a PlayStation 3 and the PS3 Netflix app. Netflix streams 2.0 audio to browsers.”

Yes, the Live Plus does support 5.1 audio from Netflix, however, not all Netflix titles have 5.1 audio. Have a look at this thread. It lists Netflix titles with 5.1 audio:
