Need to start over with new clean drives

Sorry for the dumb question, but I was handed a “failed” My Cloud Mirror device . . .have two new drives (2TB), which I’ve connect to a Win10 machine and created a single partition on each and formatted NTFS with no drive letter . . .I’ve done a 40-second reset on the device. . .When I install the drives and connect the device to the network, I get a solid blue power light, but two solid red lights on the drive status . . . the manual doesn’t address a solid red drive light (both drives)

My network doesn’t see the device (from the arp table), and the standard http://wdmycloudmirror doesn’t find it . . .

Do I need to configures the drives differently before I put them in the device, or is there something I’m missing here?

Did you format them ext4? Also your problem is you formatted them NTFS, which why you would do that i dont wanna know. Search the forum…
