The unit sat unused for quite some time. When turned on and connected, it went to the sign-on page. Admin as user and requested a password. Nowhere can I find where to create a password. What to do?
Well, the default password is blank (no password). Did you try that?
If it didn’t work. go to the product page for your EX2 and get the manual. It will show you how to reset the admin password.

Clicking with no password did not work. Even with a reboot to start it all over again. Of note: the NAS shows on File Explorer under Network. As empty, of course.
The problem with the guidance in the manual is this: since I cannot get in at all, I cannot follow those instructions. It is a Catch-22.
Is there a workaround to allow me to get in?
