I setup one of my customers offices with this device so they could have local and remote personal storage. The remote storage stops working every month and the entire device needs to be physically handled before it can be accessed remotely again. This is absolutely nuts, and there is too many steps in my opinion beyond a simple login interface for the customer. And I have spoken to WD support on two separate occasions about different issues both times + this one with no permanent solution. I really wish I just set them up on onedrive, or googledrive, what in the world was the point in spending almost a grand on this? My time spent fixing this thing every month far exceeded its value a while ago. Not to mention it’s made me look like the worst iT in the world to them. Stick to your guns guys, setup classic windows servers, and dedicated remote cloud. So far this wd tech feels bad.
